The Brian May Scholarship provides financial assistance to promising Australian film composers to study film scoring at a world leading education facility.

The Brian May Scholarship is administered by the Trustees of the Brian May Trust.

Amended Application form

At the request of NYU Steinhardt, the Trustees have added a Letter of Authority at the end of the Brian May Scholarship Application form. click here

All applicants must complete the Letter of Authority and send it to NYU Steinhardt with their Application form. A copy of the Letter of Authority must be lodged with the Brian May Scholarship Application form.

SCHOLARSHIP REVIEW

Following concerns about the original program, which commenced in 2003 - 2004, the Trustees have now finalised a complete review of the Brian May Scholarship and have decided that it will be offered for the 2010 - 2011 academic years for a two year Master of Music Degree in Scoring for Film and Multimedia at NYU Steinhardt.
